      Project Overview

Harisharan’s website was originally built on Drupal 7 and later upgraded to Drupal 10. With another Drupal upgrade cycle approaching and no in-house development team to manage it, the client decided to move to WordPress, a platform their team could manage day to day without developer dependency. cmsMinds handled the full migration, redesign, and SEO setup, delivering a live site in six weeks.

      Project Overview

      The Challenge

Harisharan’s Drupal site had become a bottleneck. The platform demanded developer involvement for basic updates, organic visibility was flat, and another forced upgrade cycle was approaching with no team in place to manage it.

        01

The site had already been through one major Drupal upgrade cycle (D7 to D10) and the team had no appetite for another forced rebuild.

        02

No in-house developer. Every content update on Drupal required external help, turning routine changes into tickets.

        03

The existing site had minimal organic visibility, roughly 71 monthly visits/month.

        04

Product content across marble and granite categories needed structured, browsable presentation that the old site did not provide.

        05

All existing URLs, content, and whatever SEO equity the site had needed to be preserved through the migration.

      Challenge

      The Solution

cmsMinds migrated the site to WordPress with a focus on editorial independence, structured product presentation, and long-term SEO growth, all delivered in a six-week window.

Migrated the full site from Drupal 10 to WordPress with clean content mapping across pages, product categories, and blog posts.

Built a modular ACF-based theme giving the Harisharan team full editorial control without developer involvement.

Designed two structured product hubs (marble and granite), each with individual stone product pages, making the catalog browsable by material type.

Implemented a new SEO strategy with proper site architecture, heading hierarchy, meta tags, and content structure built for organic growth.

Preserved existing URL structure where possible and set up redirects where paths changed, protecting existing search equity through the migration.

Delivered the complete migration, redesign, and launch in six weeks.

      The Result

Five months after launch, the numbers tell the story. Organic traffic nearly tripled, page speed jumped significantly, and the team managed their own content for the first time.

      • Organic traffic increased 176% in five months post-migration, from 71 monthly visits in March 2026 to 196 in August 2026 (Ahrefs tracked, not self-reported).
      • PageSpeed scores improved to 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights, a 40% jump over the previous Drupal site.
      • The team now manages content updates, product pages, and blog posts independently on WordPress, ending the developer dependency that made Drupal unsustainable.
      • No more forced CMS upgrade cycles. The site runs on a platform the business can maintain long-term without rebuilding every few years.
      • A clean, structured product catalog that presents the full marble and granite range in a way the previous site never did.
