Senior Project Manager

About the Role

We are hiring a Sr. Project Manager to run client projects from kickoff through launch and beyond. You will work directly with US-based clients, translating their requirements into clear specs and timelines that our design and engineering teams can execute against. You will manage multiple projects at once, balancing scope, budget, and deadlines while keeping everyone aligned. This role sits at the center of our delivery operation. The quality of what we ship and how our clients experience the process depends on you.

What You'll Do

• Own the full project lifecycle for WordPress and WooCommerce builds, from discovery and scoping through development, QA, launch, and post-launch support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for US and international clients. Run status calls, manage expectations, and flag risks before they become problems.
• Break down project requirements into detailed tasks and user stories. Assign work to designers, developers, and QA engineers with clear acceptance criteria and deadlines.
• Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and budgets. Track progress daily and adjust plans when scope changes or blockers appear.
• Coordinate between design, front-end, back-end, and QA teams to keep handoffs clean and timelines tight. Remove bottlenecks before they stall delivery.
• Run sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Keep project documentation up to date in the project management tool so nothing lives only in someone’s head.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to how the team works. If something slows down delivery repeatedly, you propose and implement the fix.

What We're Looking For

• 7 to 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years managing web development projects. Agency experience is strongly preferred.
• Direct experience managing WordPress or WooCommerce projects. You understand the development workflow, common technical constraints, and what realistic timelines look like.
• Proven ability to manage US or international clients across time zones. You are comfortable running calls, writing professional updates, and navigating difficult conversations about scope or delays.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies. You have actually run sprints and retros, not just read about them.
• Excellent written and spoken English. Your emails, Slack messages, and call notes are clear, concise, and free of ambiguity.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Basecamp, ClickUp, or Asana. You keep your boards clean and your documentation current.

Nice to Have

• PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification. Useful but not a requirement if you have the track record.
• Technical background in WordPress development. Being able to read code or understand plugin architecture helps you estimate more accurately and push back on inflated timelines.
• Experience managing retainer or ongoing maintenance engagements alongside project-based work.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce-specific workflows: payment gateway integrations, product catalog builds, and store migrations.
